Graduated from the Federal University of Santa Maria he pursued his post graduate dermatology studies through the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro / UNIRIO. He has a master's degree in Infectious Diseases of the Skin from the Instituto Nacional de Infectologia Evandro Chagas - Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (INI-FIOCRUZ), in Rio de Janeiro; he holds a title of Specialist issued by the Brazilian Society of Dermatology (SBD) and is a member of the Brazilian Society of Dermatologic Surgery (SBCD) and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). He works as a Professor of Cosmetic Dermatology at the Instituto de Dermatologia Professor Rubem David Azulay (IDPRDA), at the Santa Casa de Misericórdia do Rio de Janeiro.
